Joe Crossno, 75, of Harriman, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at his home.
He was a member of Harriman United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing golf at Emory Golf Course, where he served on the board of directors for many years. He was also an avid NASCAR fan.
He is survived by loving wife of more than 50 years, June Crossno, Harriman; son, Dr. Joseph Thomas Crossno Jr. and wife Davina, Littleton, Colo.; daughters Laura Robin Crossno, Woodstock, Ga., and Andrea Guinne Carrington and husband Shea, Mills River, N.C.; grandchildren, Robert Crossno, Meagan Crossno and Jackson Carrington; and one brother, Jerry Lee Crossno and wife Ellalyn, Norris.
Celebration-of-life service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, in Harriman United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard Tallent and Pastor Steve Parker officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday in the church. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, send contributions in his memory to either Operation Smile, P.O. Box 96208, Washington, DC 20090; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Kyker Funeral Home, Harriman, is in charge of arrangements.
