John Patrick 'JP' Carney, Jr. 43, Summerville, SC., passed away suddenly on May 26, 2012.
He was born March 7, 1969, in Beloit, Wisconsin to parents John and Susan Carney of Kingston.
He built his career rising through the ranks of carpentry and home repair. One of his last positions was running a truss company in Mountain City. He truly loved the outdoors. He was a hard worker, loved his family, boating, hunting, fishing and playing golf.
He is survived by his parents, John and Susan Carney of Kingston; daughters, Brianna Rice of Waynesville, Ohio, Rachael Carney of Franklin, Ohio; sisters, Kathy Carney-Layendecker of Oak Ridge, and Colleen Carney-Leta of Ferndale, Michigan.
The memorial service will be held in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, with the Rev. Craig Hendrix officiating. The receiving of friends will be held in advance of the service from 2 to 3 p.m. also at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge.
The family requests memorials be in the form of donations to United Way of Roane County, PO Box 317, 2735 Roane State Hwy, Harriman, TN 37748, phone (865)882-7711.
His family loved him and cared for him very much. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten. We all love you J.P.!
