The Rev. John R. Mann, 77, passed away at his residence on Friday, June 14, 2013.

He was owner of Parson's Rest Ministries and a member of River Gate Church. He pastored for 20-plus years several churches in Tullahoma. He was the director of Healing Rooms of Roane Co. He was a man of God, who loved his family more than anything. He authored several books, all of which spoke of encouragement and spiritual guidance. Along with his devotion to the Lord, he also served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired as chief.
He was preceded in death by parents, Samuel and Virginia Mann.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory wife, Dee Mann, Rockwood; son, Richard Mann (Tammi), Winston-Salem, N.C.; daughter, Jacqueline Rachelle Hauth (Kyle), Soddy-Daisy; brother, Elmer Mann (Barbara), Amelia Island, Ga.; sister, Alma Cowing, Clearwater, Fla.; grandchildren, Kevin Garrett Mann, Raleigh, N.C., Kristina Nicole Kretzer (Christopher), Highlands Ranch, Colo., Lorie Nida (Blake), Soddy-Daisy, and Amy Ambrosetti (Ryan), Bradenton, Fla.; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
The family received friends from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 16, in Evans Mortuary chapel, Rockwood. Family and friends met at 3 p.m. EDT Monday, June 17, at Jernigan Hill Cemetery, Beech Grove, Tenn., outside of Manchester, for graveside services and full military honors, with Richard Mann and Kyle Hauth officiating. Military honors were presented by the U.S. Naval Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials given to Parson's Rest Ministries, 129 Bradshaw Hollow Road, Rockwood, TN 37854.
