Joshua D. Olmstead, 37, of Knoxville went to be with the Lord Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013.
A graduate of Roane County High School and the University of Tennessee, he honorably served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a blessing to all who knew him.
He was preceded in his new life by his grandfathers, Phillip W. Ingle and Hiram B. Olmstead.
He is survived by his parents, Wayne and Julie Olmstead, Kingston; brother, Chad Olmstead, Chattanooga; fiancée, Christine Stroud and son Patrick, Knoxville; grandmothers, Lena Olmstead Clower, Kingston, and Many Jane Ingle, Kingston; numerous aunts and uncles.
"We are grateful that you were a part of our lives," his family said. "We all love you, and you will be missed so much."
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, in Kyker Funeral Home chapel, Kingston, with the Rev. Sonny Works officiating. Burial will be at Roane Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to either Kingston First Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Kyker Funeral Home,
