Lewis Estel Gibson, 58, of Harriman, passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, in Roane Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 13, 1955, in Roane County. He was a lifelong resident of this area.
He was employed at Cracker Barrel Inc. at the Harriman location for 29 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence H. Gibson; a son, Bobby Eugene Gibson; a sister-in-law, Tammy Easter; and by a brother-in-law, Ronald Loy.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Wilma Loy Gibson; a son, John Steven Gibson and wife Bethanie; a grandson, Blake Eugene Gibson, all of Harriman; and his mother, Mildred Gibson, Oliver Springs.
He is also survived by a sister, Janet Gelatka and husband Joe, Knoxville; sisters-in-law, Margaret Sulfridge and husband Paul, Russellville, Tenn., and Bernice Catron and husband Benny, Harriman; brothers-in-law, G.K. Easter and wife Young, Oakdale, and Franklin Loy, Rockwood; special friends, Sherman Minton, George Treadway and James Patrick Tilley; several nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, in Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs. The funeral followed at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Sam Loy officiating. Burial and graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at Clax Gap Cemetery. An online guest book is available at www.sharpfh.com.
