Lillie Mae Chambers, 88, of Harriman, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, May 21, 2012.
She was a member of Trenton Street Baptist Church for more than 50 years and a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lee Chambers; four sons, Robert Johnny Chambers, Jimmy Chambers, James Chambers and Spencer Frank Chambers; a daughter, Barbara Lee Phillips-Clark; and a grandson, Joshua Chambers.
She is survived by three daughters, Maggie Henline, Becky Parker and Christine Moncus; three sons, Leroy Gene Chambers, Charles Andrew Chambers and Maynard Chambers; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family, friends and loved ones.
The family received friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday May 23, in Trenton Street Baptist Church. Funeral services followed at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Gene Nelson officiating. Burial followed at Piney Grove Cemetery. Davis Funeral Home, Harriman, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the Hungry Herman Fund through Trenton Street Baptist Church or any charity of the donor's choice.
