LuAn Whitford Noland, 78, of Harriman, went into peaceful sleep Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born Aug. 22, 1933, at home to the late Clifford and Loraine Whitford. In 1954, she moved to Tennessee, where she met and married Harold Eugene Noland. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Her devotion and faith in God was evident in everything she did. A blessing here on Earth, she touched the lives of everyone she knew. All who knew her will treasure the loving memories left behind.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 57 years, Harold Eugene Noland; a daughter, Kathy Louise Barnes (Robert Carl); three sons, Kenneth Eugene Noland (Doree Ann), David Clifford Noland (Pamela Susan) and John Paul Noland (Michelle Hembree); four grandsons, Bryan, Dean, Jonathon and Brandon; a granddaughter, Tara Renee Hayes; five great-grandchildren, Ryker, Gavin, Braden and Eli Hayes and Madison Noland; and a brother, Phillip Whitford (Irene).
Funeral service was at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 31, in the chapel of Evans Mortuary, Rockwood, with Ben Whittenbarger officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, at Kingston Memorial Gardens. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Evans Mortuary.
