Maude K. Anderson Lewis, 85, of Rockwood, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, in Roane Medical Center, Harriman.

She was a member of Rockwood First Baptist Church. She was born in Hawkins County on Oct. 12, 1928, to Thurman P. and Mary Tignor Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Ed Lewis; sister, Mabel Rector; and brothers, Bob Anderson and PeeWee Anderson.
Survivors include son, Mike Lewis, Harriman; daughter, Mary L. Curtis and husband Ken, Calhoun, Ga.; three grandchildren, Mike Lewis, Kathy Lewis and Kevin Curtis; five great-grandchildren, Meghan Webb, Abi Burke, Jessie, Lexie and Kadie Lewis, Maverick and Kolby Curtis; and sisters, Nettie Brogdon, Statesville, N.C., Ruth McClendon, Rockwood, Irene Coston, Maryville, and Ada Givens, Knoxville.
The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, in Evans Mortuary, Rockwood. The funeral service followed in the chapel of Evans Mortuary at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Charles Kelley officiating. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at Roane Memorial Gardens, Rockwood. An online register is available at www.evansmortuary.biz.
