Oscar P. Taylor, 81, of Kingston, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.
He was a member of Kingston United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a certified public accountant retired from Bank of Roane County/Regions Bank. He was preceded in death by parents, Oscar Philman and Willie Hatcher Taylor Sr.; and sister, Delores Deaver Curry.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Anna M. Taylor; daughter, Carol Colvin (Bob); son, David A. Taylor (Laura); granddaughter, Sara Coble (Duncan); grandson, Steven Haynes; great-granddaughters, Gracie Coble and Sophie Coble; stepgrandsons, Michael Colvin and Calvin Moody; stepgranddaughters, Ally Colvin and Claire Moody; sister, Betty Seymour (Glenn); sisters-in-law, Mary Bruneau (Jerry) and Carrie Light; several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, in Kingston United Methodist Church, with the funeral following at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Sue Lynn Johnson and the Rev. Todd Chancey officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Kingston United Methodist Church, 212 W. Church St., Kingston, TN 37763. Burial was at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood. Kyker Funeral Home, Kingston, was in charge of arrangements. www.kykerfuneralhomes.com
