Patrick "Pat" Freer, 62, of Kingston, went to the Lord Monday, July 1, 2013, at home, surrounded by his family.

He was born Jan. 21, 1951, in Elizabeth, N.J., and moved to Kingston 26 years ago. He was a member of Lawnville Road Church of Christ in Kingston. He was an auto technician at Sexton Automotive Group in Harriman for 10 years before opening his own business, Freer Automotive in Harriman. He was preceded in death by parents, William and Antoinette Freer.
Survivors include wife, Lynn Freer, Kingston; sons, Patrick Freer and wife Cheryl, Harriman, and Richard Freer and wife Angela, Kingston; daughter, Christina Runyon and Brandon Hendrix, Kingston; eight grandchildren, Lorren Freer Loveday and husband Cody, Knoxville, Jonathan, Austin and Woody Runyon, Patrick Freer III, Trinity Haire, Richard Freer Jr. and Breanna DeVall, all of Kingston; six stepgrandchildren, Star and Selena Schorr and Kayla Misics Brydges, Kingston, Kimberlyn, Thomas and Briley Hendrix, Rockwood; two great-grandchildren, Corren and Camden Loveday, Knoxville; brother, William Freer and wife Debbie, Wartburg; twin sister, Patricia Gardiner, New Jersey; sister, Mary Martelloni and husband Paul, Harriman; special friends, Jonathan Runyon, Dottie Mazzara, Peggy Tyter and Janet Hendrix; several nieces and nephews; and tons of friends.
The family had a private service on Tuesday, July 2, in Fraker Funeral Home, Kingston.
