Precious Sophia Mayton, 2 1/2, of Harriman, went to receive her wings Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013.

She was born July 16, 2010, in Knoxville. She loved riding horses, playing dress-up and being a girly-girl. She was preceded in death by her great-grandmothers, Joyce Mayton and Joyce West.
Survivors include mother, Niki Mayton and Daniel Bryant, Harriman; father, Conley Pontifes and Michelle Dehut, Kingston; grandparents, Lori and Conny Mayton, Midtown, and Amy Wells, Knoxville; great-grandparents, John and Rebecca Ray, Midtown; uncles and aunts, Kristy and Gary Cantrell, Kingston, Courtney Fowler, Coalfield, Alex Mayton and Destiny Teto, Kingston, Selena and Karina Pontifes, Knoxville; great-uncles and -aunts, Travis and Becky Mayton, Harriman, Kathy and Chris Epton, Kingston, and Wanda Wells, Harriman; Second Chance Youth Camp; several extended family members and friends.
The family received friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, in Harriman First Christian Church, with funeral service following at 7 p.m., with Josh Head presiding. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Willard Park Cemetery in Harriman. Fraker Funeral Home, Kingston, is in charge of arrangements.
