Richard Earl Cox, 66, passed away while sleeping sometime in the early morning on Thursday, July 25, 2013.

He was a member of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, served proudly and continued after his tour to work on Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii as a civilian. After some years and feeling homesick, he returned to Knoxville in 1985.
He is survived by his sisters, Jo Beth Cox-Rebori, and Rebecca Lawhon Caronna and husband Bob Caronna; nieces, Allie Caronna Bays, Rachele Rebori Potter and husband Edward Potter, and Antonia Lizbeth Rebori.
A graveside service was at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Hwy., Knoxville. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to either the
