Samuel Willard Calloway, 80, of Kingston, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at his home.

He was born Nov. 9, 1933, in Kingsport and had been a resident of Roane County for most of his life. He attended Victory Baptist Church. Sam was a retired welder with over 60 years of expertise and was also a member of the Sheet Metal Local Union No. 5. He was preceded in death by his parents, B.B. and Juanita Grogg Calloway; and sister-in-law, Marie Calloway.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Patsy Qualls Calloway, Kingston; daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Jon Loden, Kingston, and Cathy and Bruce Stephens, Greer, S.C.; son, Randy Calloway, Oak Ridge; son and daughter-in-law, David and Tammy Calloway, Oakdale; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Sheila Calloway, Kingston; brother, Billy Joe Calloway, Kingston; brother-in-law, Courtland Qualls and wife Merriem, Kentucky; sisters-in-law, Sue Muecke and husband Jack, Kingston, and Betty Qualls, Rockwood; a host of extended family and many special friends.
The family received friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 11, in Fraker Funeral Home, Kingston, with graveside service immediately following at Cedar Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Danny Thomas presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
