Syble Louise Adkison Turner, 84, of Kingston, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, in Parkwest Medical Center.

A member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church for more than 50 years, she loved her church family and her roses. She was a retired bookkeeper. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Murry Turner; a daughter, Margaret Anne Evans; a son-in-law, George W. Evans; and two great-granddaughters, Lucie and Julia Bursley.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandra T. White and husband David, Signal Mountain, Jane LeBlanc and husband Bob, Bellevue, Neb., and Sue T. Mayer and husband Don, Panama City Beach, Fla.; an aunt, Mary Ruth Turner, Columbus, Ga.; a sister, Myrtle Bethea, Leesburg, Fla.; a brother, the Rev. Alcus Adkison and wife Betty of Marianna, Fla.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and beloved dogs, Sadie and Bonnie.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, in Cedar Grove Baptist Church; the funeral will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Phillip Martin and the Rev. Alcus Adkison officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Kyker Funeral Home, Kingston, is in charge of arrangements.
