Thomas Lloyd Curtis, 69, of Harriman, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 24, 1943, in Bloomington, Ill., to Vernon Paul and Elaine Bernice Gustafson Curtis. He was a member of Harriman Church of God, where he was very involved with the men's fellowship. He was formerly employed with K-25. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He loved spending time on the water, NASCAR racing and football. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Myra L. Green Curtis, Harriman; mother, Elaine Curtis, Claremore, Okla.; children, Tim Curtis and wife Cari, Harriman, Kenny Curtis and wife April, Clinton, James O'Berry and wife Ellen, Calahan, Fla., and Ira J. O'Berry, Hoboken, Ga.; grandchildren, Travis, Dusty, Chase, Clayton, Trevor, Kevin, Ryan, Ali, Mackenzie, Emily and Jesse; brother, Jim Curtis and wife Mary Ellen, Joplin, Mo.; sisters, Patty Northroup and husband Fred, Claremore, and Karen Wright and husband Ed, Broken Arrow, Okla.; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, in Harriman Church of God. The memorial service will follow the visitation at 7:30 p.m., with the Rev. Ottis Ball and Pastor Jeff Blackburn officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore at a later date. Evans Mortuary, Rockwood, is in charge of arrangements.
