Wilburn Avery Kindrick, 78, of Rockwood, passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, in Tennova Residential Hospice of Knoxville.

Born July 29, 1934, on Millstone Mountain in Cumberland County to Virgil Franklin and Hazel Farmer Kindrick, he was a retired truck driver and gas station owner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Harris Kindrick; a sister, Lenice Potter; three brothers, Edwin, Tommy and Eugene Kindrick; brothers-in-law, Frank Harris, James Wright, Drury Potter and James Spurling; and sisters-in-law, Rachel Kindrick, Mildred Kindrick, Billie June Harris and Ruth Harris.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Pless Buck, Rockwood; sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Joy Kindrick, Rockwood, and Timmy and Kathy Kindrick, Rockwood; grandchildren, Robbie Kindrick (Kim), Melissa Kindrick, Carrie Patterson (Jamie), Terri Jones (Aubrey) and Tabatha Watts, all of Rockwood, Jeremy Buck, Knoxville, and Corey Buck (Brandi), Kingston; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Barbara Kindrick, Rockwood; sister, Irene Spurling, Lebanon; sisters-in-law, Clara Mae Wright, Monterey, and Evelyn Kindrick, Harriman; great-grandchildren, Sierra, Tyler, Colton, Jenna and Landon Kindrick, Taylor, Kassie and Hayden Jones, Katie and Kara Patterson; special friend, Kenneth Carter; many nieces and nephews; and special nephews, Gary and Buster Kindrick.
Funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, in Evans Mortuary chapel, Rockwood, with the Rev. Charles Kelly officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at Odd Fellows Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Evans Mortuary.
