Oakley Grace Allen Cooper, 94, a resident of the Roddy community of Rhea County, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Renaissance Terrace, Harrriman.

She was born July 13, 1918 in Beaver Dam, Kentucky to the Rev. Daniel Edgar Allen, Sr. and Oakley Brown Allen. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Roddy. She was a former elementary school teacher in the former Eureka Elementary School in Rockwood and later was a caregiver for many people in their homes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Roy Cooper; son, Clayton Allen Boisvert; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include sons James Richard Cooper of the Roddy community and Woodley Jacques Boisvert and wife, Dolores of Norfolk, Va.; grandchildren, Stacy Brovo of Norfolk, Mark Boisvert of Norfolk and Judson Boisvert of Brockton, Mass.; great grandchildren, Dejuan Boisvert, Isabella Brovo, and Eli Brovo; and several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 19, at Evans Mortuary. Funeral services followed on Friday, April 19, at 8 p.m. from the Evans Mortuary chapel. Family and friends met for graveside services and interment on Saturday, April 20, at 2:30 p.m. in the Lynnhurst Cemetery, 2300 W. Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918.
