Edsel F. Litton, 90, of Kingston, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, in Parkwest Medical Center.
He was born on March 7, 1923, in Robbins, Tenn., to Marion Freeman and Callie Lee Rains Litton. He retired from Y-12 in Oak Ridge, where he was a machinist for 33 1/2 years and was a member of Rockwood First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ; a member of Kingston American Legion and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Katherine Litton, Kingston; son, Larry F. Litton Sr. and wife Karen, Bristol; daughter, Teresa Litton, Kingston; three grandchildren, Rachel Collins, Larry F. Litton Jr. and Austin Litton; and one great-grandchild, Darby Collins.
A private graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Oak Grove Cemetery. Evans Mortuary, Rockwood, is in charge of arrangements.
