McKinsey Doughty, 13, of Lenoir City, passed away suddenly Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014.

She was a seventh-grade student at Lenoir City Middle School. She loved music and to draw. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles Doughty; great-grandmothers, Elsie Thompson and Nancy "Nanie" Tatham; great-grandparents, Edna and Albert Freels, Leonard and Minnie Reynolds; uncle, Billy Ledbetter; and great-uncle, Kenneth Howell.
She is survived by mother, Jacqui Stephens and husband John; father, Scott Doughty; brother, Charles Doughty all of Lenoir City; sisters, Samantha Doughty, Lenoir City, and Andrea McCallister, White Pine; grandparents, Pat Doughty, Rockwood, Donna and Dave Perry, Lenoir City, and Jack and Genetta Freels, Harriman; special friend, Gavin Frase, Lenoir City; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, in Highland Park Baptist Church in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Eddie Click and Pastor Don Baker officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at FSG Bank in McKinsey's name.
