Glenn Wilson McCuiston, 76, of Rockwood, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at his residence while surrounded by his family hand in hand in prayer.

Glenn was a member of Whites Creek Baptist Church in Rockwood, where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendent. He was the owner of McCuiston Real Estate, a third-generation contractor, and owner of McCuiston Construction Co. Glenn was very active in the Roane County and Rockwood communities, serving as Rockwood City Councilman, Roane County Quarterly Court Commissioner, president of the Roane County Board of Realtors, member of the Rockwood Civitan Club, former officer of the Rockwood Rams Quarterback Club, Rockwood High School "Tigers" Booster Club. Glenn was a member of the steering committee who helped Rockwood City Schools system merge with Roane County Schools system. He took pride in civic duty and serving the community. He was an avid Republican, serving in the Roane County Republican Club. Glenn loved to watch and cheer on the UT Vols! His family respected him and called him "The Most Amazing Man in the World." Mr. McCuiston was preceded in death by parents, Ford P. and Neil Cooper McCuiston; and brothers, Richard "Jack" McCuiston, Paul "Dewayne" McCuiston and William A. "Bill" McCuiston.
He is survived by wife, Sharon R. McCuiston; sons, Craig McCuiston (Melissa) and Kevin McCuiston (Carla); daughter, Tonia Killian (Steve); brother, Ford P. McCuiston Jr. (Jenny); sisters-in-law, Marie McCuiston, Sandra McCuiston Bailey and Evelyn McCuiston; grandchildren, Kevin Lee McCuiston II (Sarah), Christen McCuiston, Calieb McCuiston (Hannah), Kyle McCuiston, Collin McCuiston, Kelcie Killian and Colby Killian; great-grandchildren, Caroline and Ellison McCuiston; a host of nieces and nephews, along with many friends in the Roane and Rockwood community.
Funeral and visitation arrangements are as follows: Monday, May 12, in the chapel of Evans Mortuary, Rockwood. Family will receive family from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral will follow at 8 p.m., with the Rev. Charles Kelley and the Rev. Hascue Carter officiating. Concluding services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, at Roane Memorial Gardens.
