Joyce D. Reeder, 73, of Harriman, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, in Roane Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 27, 1939, in Campbell County. She lived in both Detroit and Hazel Park, Mich., and Oliver Springs and Jellico before moving to Harriman.
She was a homemaker, a loving wife and mother, and a member of Brick Plant Church of God in Jellico. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Flora Ross King; brothers, Arvil Lee King, Charles King and David King; and sisters, Pricilla Fincher, Gneva Marler and Velma Hackworth.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Virgil Reeder, Harriman; a daughter, Cynthia Reeder McCarroll, Harriman; a sister, Nola Mae Douglas Noe, Harriman; and four brothers, Boyd King, Oliver Springs, Abel King, Indiana, Jonathan King, Jellico, and Robert Wayne King, Knoxville.
She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family and friends.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Anderson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs, was in charge of arrangements.
