J.P. Collier, 76, of Kingston, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, in Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel; a sister, Helen Hood; and brothers, Big Jim and Curtis Collier. He was retired from Roane Hosiery mill in Harriman.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Roger Woods, Kingston; daughter, Debbie Wilson, Philadelphia; sons and daughters-in-law Terry and Ree Collier, and Tony and Shelly Collier, all of Kingston; sister, Linda Galyon, Ten Mile; brothers, Kenneth Collier, Johnson City, Elmer Collier, Loudon, and Delmer Collier, Kingston; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, in Kyker Funeral Home chapel, Kingston, with Dr. Tommy Patterson officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Fairview Cemetery.
