Jean Siegfried Caruthers

The Guest Book is expired.

Jean Siegfried Caruthers passed away Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012.
Though his work as an electrical engineer took Sieg around the U.S., Tennessee has always been his home. Those who knew him will remember him for his independent thought, kind heart and generous spirit.
His brother, Roger Caruthers, passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012.
Roger served in the U.S. Army and was severely wounded during a mission with the Blue Ghosts in 1969. Even though he was in a wheelchair after the injury, he lived a full life running the family farm in Clarkrange and serving his community in Rockwood. Those who knew him were likely inspired by his positive attitude and colorful stories.
The brothers are preceded in death by their parents, Jack and Georgia Caruthers.
The brothers leave behind three daughters/nieces, Georgia, Marnie and Jennifer, who love them both dearly.
Family and friends are invited to attend a service for Roger at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, and a memorial potluck dinner honoring both Roger and Sieg will follow in the fellowship hall of Rockwood United Methodist Church. Bring a dish and a short story to share. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation in their memory to the Boy Scouts of America Great Smoky Mountain Council, P.O. Box 51885, Knoxville, TN 37950-1885, or call 588-6514. Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, North Chapel, Hwy. 153, Hixson, is in charge of arrangements. Share thoughts and memories at
