Freddie L. Hatfield, 64, of the Pine Orchard community, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at his home.
He was a member of Pine Orchard Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Thelma Smith Hatfield; and one brother, Darrell Hatfield.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Evelyn Redmon Hatfield; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Matthew and Felicia Hatfield and Scotty Hatfield; two grandchildren, Mason and Shelby Hatfield; one brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Emma Lou Hatfield; one sister and brother-in-law, Vickie and Ricky Burgess; a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
A private memorial service will be at a later date. Friends may visit with the family at their home. Davis Funeral Home, Harriman, is in charge of arrangements.
