Lois Virginia Benson Garrett, 85, of Pigeon Forge, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013.

She was a lifelong resident of Pigeon Forge. She was a member of Pigeon Forge First United Methodist Church and attended New Midway Baptist Church in Kingston after moving there to be with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Garrett, Sr.; and brothers, Clyde and Ray Benson.
Survivors include sons, Jim Garrett and wife Shirley, and Rod Garrett and wife Peggy; grandchildren, Andy Garrett and wife Carmon, Steve Garrett and wife Shannon, Kim Williams and husband Shane, and Chip Garrett and wife Dawn; great-grandchildren, Cory, Chase, William, Jesse, Blake, Tyler and Harley; and sister-in-law, Jessica Benson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Midway Baptist Church (Children's Playground), 913 New Midway Road, Kingston, TN 37763.
Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville, with Pastor Dennis Ford and Rod Garrett officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens.
