Frances Oakes Golliher, 93, of Rockwood, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013, in Renaissance Terrace in Harriman.

She was born Oct. 13, 1919, in Shakerag, Tenn., to George Dexter and Maggie Jo Hall Oakes. She was a member of Mount Vernal Baptist Church in Westel. Along with her love of the Lord, the church was her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Golliher; son, Blayne Golliher; brothers, Glen Oakes and Beecher Oakes; and sister, Dorothy Grant.
Survivors include daughter-in-law, Barbara Golliher, Rockwood; grandson, Jeff Golliher and wife Dee, Rockwood; granddaughter, Arlene McCarter and husband Stan, Sevierville; great-granddaughter, Jamie Poland and husband Matt, Harriman; great-grandsons, Kelly McCarter, Sevierville, and Logan McCarter, Sevierville; stepgrandson, Rustin Grayson, Rockwood; sisters, Bonnie Nelson, Rockwood, Jewell Butler, Rockwood, and Pauline Delius, Joliet, Ill.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, March 4, in Evans Mortuary, Rockwood. Following the visitation, graveside and burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Rockwood, with the Rev. Mike Nelson officiating.
