Lawson L. "Junior" Wilcoxon Jr., 88, of Kingston, passed away Tuesday morning, April 9, 2013, at his home.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired from Y-12 Oak Ridge. He was a member of Abundant Life Foursquare Gospel Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawson L. Wilcoxon; mother, Cora Wilcoxon K. Herrell; six sisters; and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anna Plemons Wilcoxon; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Tom Banker, Silver Point, Tenn.; granddaughter, Katy Ann and husband Mike Reynolds, San Antonio; grandson, Greg Banker, Cookeville; great-granddaughters, Shelby and Hayley Reynolds, San Antonio; brother-in-law, Bobby J. Plemons, Kingston; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 12, at Roane Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Chris Stickrod officiating and military honors by Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Kyker Funeral Home, Kingston.
