Annie Joyce Ayers Wheeling, 86, of Salem, died on Sunday, November 4, 2012. She was born on August 17, 1926, in Roanoke, Va., to the late William and Gertrude Ayers. Joyce was a long time employee at Kroger. She had many friends and customers who she enjoyed working with.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernace Odell Wheeling; sister, Judith Overstreet; brother, William Ayers; and son-in-law, Jack Greer.
She is survived by her daughter, "Missy" Joyce Greer; brothers, Wayne Ayers, Gale Ayers, and James Ayers; sisters, Mary Zamorski and Jane Jenson; special niece, Kathy Spencer; family friend, David Maxey; and several nieces and nephews.
