Helen H. Webb Turner, 95, of Fuquay-Varina, N.C., and formerly of Hardy and Salem, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 25, 2013. Helen was born on December 27, 1917, in Petersburg. She was the oldest of five children born to the late Clarence and Lillie (Edwards) Hosley. Helen was predeceased by her husbands, Taylor F. Webb, of Rocky Mount, and Morris J. Turner, of Salem; one brother, Clarence O. Hosley Jr., of Danville; and two sisters, Juanita Jean Cox, of Moneta, and Rachel Scott, of Salem.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Webb Deboard, of West Virginia; sister, Hazel "Jane" Holder, of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; sister-in- law, Willie Hosley, of Danville; and brother-in-law, James Scott Sr., of Roanoke. Also surviving are five nieces and three nephews, Sylvia Ann Mimms, of Danville, Dale Hosley Jr., of Burlington, N.C., Terry Cox McCollister, of Ontario, Calif., Pamela Farmer of Conover, N.C., Sandy Cox, of Rochester Hills, Mich., Celeste Scott Heath, of Chesterfield, Rachel "Toni" Holder, of Fuquay-Varina, N.C., and James Scott Jr., of Salem; along with numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family thanks the CNAs, Nurses and Staff of Windsor Point Retirement Center's Devan Hall for their loving care of Helen.
Funeral Services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2013, with the Rev. Bruce D. Tuttle officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Boones Mill. Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
