James D. Johnston, III, of Charlottesville, Virginia, died peacefully at the Martha Jefferson Hospital on March 15, 2013. He was 94. In late June, a private memorial celebration of his long life will be held in Charlottesville for his family and friends.
As an Army
veteran and dedicated patriot, he long ago declared, "I want to die with my boots on". Working on his ideas for historical documentary film until the last weeks of his life, he did.
