Larry Steven (Steve) Farmer, 64, of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012. He was a United States Army
veteran, having served during the Vietnam War
, and was a machine operator with Kohlmorgen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Mark Farmer and Dafron East; his grandparents, Mark and Hattie Farmer; and brother, Timothy Farmer. Survivors include his partner in life, Janice Neely; sister, Peggy Jane Gale, of Madison, Tenn.; uncle and aunt, Andy and Shelby Farmer, of Radford; an aunt, Louise McCoy, of Springfield; special cousin, friend, and wrestling fan, Allen and Tammy Bain; special friends, Steve and Vickie Neely; and many other cousins.
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Glennard Quesenberry officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to the service. Military graveside rites will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2012, in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
