Rebecca Marie Dennis, of Roanoke, was born on May 14, 1959, in Franklin County, to the late Jerry and Josephine Dennis. Rebecca was called home to God on Thursday, October 25, 2012. She was a long time employee of The Hotel Roanoke where she served over 18 years and was loved by all. Many that knew her said she had a great personality and a very distinguished laugh.
Rebecca was a devoted mother to David Dennis, Antonio Stovall, Marque Carter and Mariam Almajali. She is survived by her siblings, Brenda Whorely, Patricia Dennis, Steve Dennis, Barbara (Lester) Muse, Michael (Michelle) Dennis, all of Roanoke, and Jeffery Dennis, of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, Adrian Joyce, Aaron Dennis and Connor Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; special friends at Hotel Roanoke; and a very special friend, Marc Walker.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Serenity Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
