Stephen Frye Obituary

Stephen Graham (Cicero) Frye, 73, of Wytheville, Va., passed away Friday, February 4, 2011. He was born January 21, 1938, in Wythe County, son of the late Stephen and Virgie Dunford Frye. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Audrey Reynolds, Millie Poole, Louise Groseclose and Effie Lindamood; one brother, Roy Frye. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Kincer Frye, of the home; four daughters, Tereska Frye, of Wytheville, Va., Stephanie Frye, of Harrisonburg, Va., Alison and Chad Fisher, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Susan Robinson, of Harrisonburg, Va.; one brother, Tom Dewey Frye, of Piney, Va.; four grandchildren, Mikel Frye, Emily Frye, Brennan Fisher and Jillian Fisher. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 7, 2011, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with the Reverend Norman Wilhoit officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
