Edward Matusevich Obituary

Edward Kenneth Matusevich, 75, of Blacksburg, went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 18, 2010, at New River Valley Medical Center. He was born in Montgomery County, Va. on September 15, 1935 to the late Anthony and Tessie Willie Proco Matusevich. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Tony, George and Johnny Matusevich, his brother-in-law, Judge Jacque Pierce and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Harry and Madeline Sheppard. Edward retired from Poly-Scientific, Inc. with 43 years of service and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Sheppard Matusevich, of Blacksburg; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael K. and Kim Matusevich, of Riner, Eric Matthew and Diane Matusevich, Dean and René Matusevich; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy M. and Glennard Quesenberry, Mary Jean and John Brown, Velma M. Pierce; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Matusevich, Connie Matusevich, all of Blacksburg; ten grandchildren, Evan, Brandon, Kyle, Tyler, Adam, Kelly, Brynn, Katelin, Daniel, Jocelyn; two stepgrandchildren, Tracy Sibold and husband, Joe, Dewayne Shelton. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the Carilion New River Valley Hospital doctors and nurses. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 1 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glennard Quesenberry officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
