Richard Echols Obituary

Richard Elvery Echols, 80, of Elliston, Va., passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010, from injuries sustained in a car accident. He is survived by his niece, Cindy Schubert and her husband, Robert, of Schofield, Wis.; and five first cousins, C.H. Echols Jr., of Baltimore, Md., James Echols and his wife, Sylvia, of Blacksburg, Va., Gordon Welsh, of Roanoke, Va., Richard Welsh, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Hazel Young, of Salem, Va. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; his sister, Eris Brown and her husband, Robert; and his parents, Elvery McClelland Echols and Maggie Ida Huff, of Roanoke, Va. A Graveside Service will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010, in Roanoke at his final resting place, Evergreen Burial Park. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 540-982-2100.
