Alvin Poff Obituary

Alvin Douglas Poff Sr., 69, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. He was born on March 27, 1942, to the late C.O. Poff Jr. and Elva McRoy Poff. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Pat Cassell and Jeania Wilson. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Patricia Ann Poff; stepmother, Frances Poff; son, Alvin Poff Jr. and and wife, Vickie; daughters, Tina Welch, and Rhonda Robinson and husband, Mike; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Randy Poff; and sisters, Peggy and Jerry Liffick, Gertrude Musick, and Janice Jachimski. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2011, at Oakey's South Chapel. Interment will follow in Floyd, Va. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131.
