John B. Crooke, 59, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Monday, August 30, 2010. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010, in the Valley Funeral Home Chapel, 540-562-1182.

We were extremely saddened to learn of John's death. He was such a great guy. The work he did on our home was outstanding and my mother and I truly admired his work ethic. We would not have had anyone else do the work. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
