Hattie Saunders Obituary

Hattie Juanita Dudding Saunders, 87, of Hardy, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 2, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert W. and Hulda S. Dudding, a sister, Jane D. Humphrey and a brother, Walter (Buddy) Dudding. Mrs. Saunders was a resident of Trinity Mission Nursing Home, Rocky Mount. Surviving are her husband, Joseph Roger Saunders of Hardy; daughters, Debbie L. Saunders, of Bassett and Linda S. Perdue, of Hardy; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby J. and Regina P. Saunders, of Hardy; brother, Roy B. Dudding, of Roanoke; brother and sister-in-law, Albert E. and Veda H. Dudding, of Cloverdale; sister-in-law, Ruth H. Dudding, of Daleville; and grandsons, Joseph C. Saunders, Malcolm L. Perdue, Joshua C. Saunders and Jonathan C. Saunders. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. Interment will be in Daleville Cemetery, Daleville. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 540-982-2221.

I got to know Hattie at Trinity my mother is there allso. She was a trick and my grandchildren love her my grandson called her his best buddy. That disease not only works on the person but also the family. I will pray for each of you. I wish I could have know the Hattie befor she got sick you have those memories. Take care of each other.
