Joe Noell Obituary

Joe E. Noell Sr., 82, of Daleville, Va., passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010. He was a Korean War Veteran who served for the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Clarimon Noell; two brothers, Jimmy and Philip Noell; and his son-in-law, Mike Grant. Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Delories H. Noell; daughter, Deborah Grant; son, Joe E. Noell Jr.; his daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Pat Bryant; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Julia Rush, of Atlanta, Ga., and Barbara Heldreth, of Roanoke. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Simpson Funeral Home. A service celebrating Mr. Noell's life will be held 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, in the Simpson Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ron Ihrie officiating. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. Arrangements being handled by Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory, 540-366-0707.
