Earl Agee Obituary

Earl T. Agee, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 17, 2010. He was born in Farmville, Va., on June 11, 1929, to Lucile M. and C. T. Agee. He graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in 1950. He worked as a teacher, professional photographer, as a sanitarian and his final career position was establishing Employee Assistance Programs throughout Virginia. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marian H. Agee; a sister and brother-in-law, Loreen A. and Robert C. Johnson; as well as one daughter and son-inlaw, Luci A. and Bruce Wright. Earl was a man of humor, creativity, musical gifts and gentleness. He was always a loving husband and father. He was remarkable in his deep faith and lifelong witness as a Christian. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Industrial Commercial Ministries, ICM 57 S. Main St., Suite 612, Harrisonburg, Va. 22801. A celebration of his life will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2010, at Brandon Oaks chapel. Internment will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Westview Cemetery in Farmville, Va. The Agee family is being served by John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem, Va., 540-389-5441.

ICM, Industrial & Commercial Ministries, greatly appreciates the
devotion Brother Earl exhibited as ICM Chaplain. He certainly was
"a caring presence" to many in the workplace.. To his family, God's
