Bryce Yopp Obituary

Bryce Harding Yopp, 89, of Salem, Va., departed this life on Tuesday, December 29, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin H. and Ida Spangler Yopp, of Floyd, Va.; an infant daughter, Sherryl Elaine; and a sister, Ruby Weeks. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lois N. Yopp; his son, Kenneth Yopp and wife, Jeanne; and daughter, Aynn and husband, Chris Handy. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Andy and wife, Charlotte Yopp, Katherine Yopp, and Amanda and Matthew Perdue. He also had two very special greatgrandchildren, Madeline and Emmy; and his best friend, his dog, Lilly. Other survivors include his twin sister, Virginia Adkins, of Blacksburg; and brother, Ralph Yopp, of Christiansburg. Mr. Yopp was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. He retired from Radford Army Ammunition Plant. There will be no viewing and graveside services will be private. Please direct any memorials to the Roanoke Valley ASPCA. The Yopp family is being served by John M. Oakey and Son, Salem, Va., 540-389-5441.
