Christine Bruce Obituary

Christine G. Bruce, 95, of Roanoke, Va., and Lower Burrell, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, in the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit, Cabot, Pa., where her daughter and her family were at her bedside. She was born April 14, 1914, in Timber Ridge, Rockbridge County, Va., to the late H. Franklin and E. Susan Entsminger Goldsby. She was also preceded in death by her husband, King Bruce in 1982; brother, Harvey F. Goldsby; and three sisters, Buelah G. Kemp, Emma J. Hickman, and Annie E. Goldsby. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Milliron Sinwell and her husband, Bernard R., of Lower Burrell, Pa.; four grandchildren, Jeffery L. Milliron and wife, Joy, E. Susan Milliron Morris and husband, Mike, Ann Milliron Crooks and husband, William Jr., and Amy Milliron Durka and husband, Sam; seven great-grandchildren, Coleen, Sarah, Joshua, James, Robert, Rachael, and Rueben; and special nieces and nephews, Jane Sowers, of Tennessee, Rebecca Grow, of Lexington, Va., and Albert and Robert Kemp, of Fairfield, Va. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, Pa. 16023. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.curranfuneral.com.

Dear Barbara and family, I am Charlotte Pierce, King, her husband was my Uncle and she was my Aunt by marriage, she was a sweet lady and I know you will miss her. I send love to you all.
