(Delores) Keeling; sister, Judith Keeling Byrd, of Greenville, S.C.; mother of his eldest children, Margaret M. Brown; aunts, Mildred Kinney, of Roanoke, Edith (Matthew) Paige, of Hampton, Va.; uncles, Rev. Arthur (Becky) Keeling, of Ontario, Calif. and Charles Keeling, of South Norwalk, Conn.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Clarence was loved by his children and grandchildren; he will be missed by many. The family would like to thank the staff at the Salem VA Medical Center and Veterans Care Center for their outstanding care provided for the last 26 months and for the love and support shown in his last hours. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel with the Rev. Melton Johnson officiating. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.Hamlar-Curtis.com.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
