Pearl and family~
Thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time; may the beauty of spring help to heal your grieving hearts and let you know that all is well.

Look at us, said the violets blooming at her feet, all last winter we slept in the seeming death but at the right time God awakened us, and here we are to comfort you. ~Edward Payson Rod

I am very sorry to hear of this news. Pearl, thank you for the call a couple of days back to let me know how Cliff was. I really liked this guy, and always looked forward to seeing him when we worked together and then later to get his emails and a phone call once and a while. He was always happy and smiling. He was truely a great man and wonderful friend. Sighed, as he said often, the other Cliff

I am so sorry to hear about Cliff. My condolences to the entire family, and especially to you, Pearl. You two have been friends and strong supporters over the years. The kindnesses and support you showed me when I was starting my new life in Roanoke have meant more to me than you will ever know. I have many fond memories of chats, DEBATES, advice, meals, and MG functions with you both. I remember many tales, much laughter, the kind eyes, and warmth of a man who was truly a joy to be around. I know when Cliff and I last spoke on the phone, he was very discouraged. My memories of him will always be of happier times, of warmth and gentleness. His was a spirit of peace. I know he lives on in peace now. I think this Christmas picture, celebrating the spirit of Christ, says it all about Cliff.
Fondly,
Barb
