Cozetta Mays Obituary

Cozetta Dolin Mays, 87, of Cross Lanes, W.Va., passed away Monday, May 31, 2010, at her residence. She was born October 1, 1922, and was the daughter of the late Noah and Alice Halstead Dolin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Pete Mays, sisters, Mattie Kessler and Dalla Williams, brothers, Grady, Forest, Earnest and Woodrow Dolin. She was retired from Chemical Valley Lumber Company of Rand and OJ Morrison Department Store of Charleston. She was a member of the Cross Lanes Church of Christ on West Washington Street and the Church of Christ on Brandon Ave. SW in Roanoke, Va. Survivors include her daughter, Regina Starcher Young and husband, Bob of, Cross Lanes; brothers, Roy, Lawrence, and Frank Dolin, all of Foster, W.Va. and Vernon Dolin, of Tomahawk, Ky. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 3, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home 420 Lee St. W, Charleston, W.Va. with Minister Mike Ross of Cross Lanes Church of Christ and Minister Keith Wagner of Roanoke, Va. Church of Christ. Burial will follow on Friday at 1 p.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Airport Rd., Roanoke, Va. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Jeanie, I am so sorry to here of Cozy's passing. I have been back in Virginia for over 7 years now. I did call and talk to her from time to time. I know all to well how much you will miss her.
