Cynthia Boitnott Haswell, 73, of Roanoke, passed away peacefully at home on November 20, 2012. She was born in a modest farmhouse in Wirtz, on March 8, 1939. She was a talented house painter, avid bargain hunter, and a fixer of all things broken. She loved her friends and family and had a smile that even strangers could remember. She touched many lives with her unconditional love and witty sense of humor. She was a strong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her father, Dewey R. Boitnott; her mother, Carrie E. Abshire Boitnott; brother, Dewey R. Boitnott Jr.; sister, Mildred Blankenship; honorary mother, Lucy Saleeba; and life-long best friend, Rose Annabell Kidd.
The Guest Book is expired.
She is survived by her husband, Eddy S. Haswell; son, David E. Haswell; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Jeremy Lorton; three precious grandchildren, Jaiden Lorton, Landon Lorton and Ava Lorton; brother, James "Jimmy" Boitnott; sister, Mary Jane Hunley; honorary daughter, Elizabeth Baker and her husband Cliff Baker; and many nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
Cynthia has reached the end of her journey on earth, but we are thankful for the knowledge of eternal families and rejoice in the thought that we will be together again.
