well once again my massage didnt get posted.But just wanted to tell how much i have missed having u around this past year.Its been really hard but we all are getting threw it....Cj is going back to work tonight and all he as been threw.Hopefully this mean he is getting back to his old self.Well love u dad and miss u soooo much but i know u give us signs every now and then to let us know u are still with us.R.I.P Dad....

It's a year today Dad, I have missed you everyday since and everything about you. There are so many things that remind me of you, so I either smile or cry. I still can't believe you're gone. But I do know you are looking over me & Roy because you know we surely need it, like you use to say you worked to support your poor family lol but I do hope you know just how much we appreciated you did for us!! I LOVE YOU ALWAYS & FOREVER!!

It"s hard because this time last year around 2:45am WE a call saying you past away .I still remeber that morning like it was yesterday .I really did not beleive it until we got to the hospital and you were gone . Frank, the thing I remember the most about you is your laugh followed by an arm around the shoulder and a hug. Nice memory. It has been about 19 years since I have seen any of you but I wanted to share my condolences with you. I still love you all and hope your pain heals quickly.

We raised our kids and went our separate ways. Dad i just wanted to say thank you for adopting me 37 years ago.I know i dont have ur blood but u never treated me any different then Jennifer.For the last few weeks you u have been calling to see if cj got his letter from the shipyard saying if he got in ur not.Well it finally came today and ur grandson is going to follow in his grampa's footstep.He goes monday to fill all his paper work out,so there will still be a Sorrells in the shipyard.Well one last thing i want u to know is i love u and going to miss u and i will see u again someday...R.I.P pops...

Earl and family,
You've got to know he is laughing and smiling with us even now...testimony to a great guy. He'll be imitated and remebered by all his buds till we all check out. Work, and the 03 level will never be the same....he was SO MUCH FUN. Earl, you beter have a roll of quaters up there when I check in; I'm bringing my special '41 riolling nickel, and I'm gonna take em all away.
Eyes teary now. He will be deaply missed...know that we will always remember him at his best, and how much fun we had working together.

Earl, I can't even begin to put into words how glad i am to have known you and to have worked around you for the past 30 years.You would make everybody smile just by walking into the room.I guess we were just waiting to see who you were gonna talk junk to first,and you never let us down!And when you werent around we would always hope you'd be painting our job or somewhere close by.i'm gonna miss going to get your diet coke for you(you fly,i'll by,as you always said)i'm gonna miss the faces you'd make ,the wisecracks you'd make (especially about me).
i remember during the strike of '99,you told everybody i was feeding my kids hamburger helper without the hamburger.LOL
no one was safe from The Body's verbal abuse.And you know what?We wouldn't have had it any other way.

Earl "The Body" a true shipyard legend and one of my best friends. I will never forget all fun you and I had together always trying to see who start the best rumor on each other.And I will be forever greatful to you for making the last 24 years at the yard fun.I already miss your 5am phone calls and you and I joking on the way to work.The old 03 level gang will never be the same.You were also played a big part in my marriage cause if it wasn't for you I would have never met my wife,and although I'm sure theres been plenty of times that she wished she had never met either of us she is sure going to miss all those messages you would leave on our answering machine cause they always made her laugh.I'm also sorry I never got around to marrying her again so you could be the best man like we had talked about but I was kind of afraid she wouldn't say yes this time.Its hard to say goodbye to people you consider a good friend but I will never forget you espseially when I look over at that empty seat beside me.God bless you and thank you for being my friend.

I worked with Earl for 34 years. We had a wonderful friendship and he will be missed by many at the Shipyard. When the tragic news was announced, the stories started to be told of Earl. How he joked, laughed and befriended so many.

Earl,you were more than a co-worker to me.You were like a brother.The shipyard has never seen nor will it ever see a more well known ,or well liked person as "The Body".You made us bust a gut laughing more times than i can count.And the very fact that many of us would jokingly imitate your mannerisms and one-liners is a testimonial to just how much you meant to us.I know i can speak for all your friends at work by saying that the shipyard will never be the same without the Body.The old saying is true....."You dont know what you got 'till it's gone".
We love you Earl and we'' be telling stories about you at work to the next generation of shipyard workers.
