I'd known Forrest for only two weeks, but have thought of him so often since I learned Monday of his passing. What a great guy. He no doubt made lasting impressions with all who knew him. My thoughts, prayers and sympathy are of and for his family and friends.

My favorite memory of Forrest is when I went to the beach with his family. Forrest and I were out in the ocean riding the waves. He was in front of me on his float and this huge wave came and lifted me up above him, then sent me crashing right on top of him. We rolled and got tangled up under water. That big ole wave took us all the way back to the sandy beach. We laughed so hard even though we were both still choking on salt water.
He is one of God's gifts and I will remember him forever.
Deb Shawna and Mandy, I still love you girls and think of you often.
Sincerely,
Tina Jones Worley

Deb and girls,

I want you to know how saddened I was to hear of the loss of Forrest. He was one of those people who just lightened up your day. I will never forget working with him at Rick Woodson and him wearing the bright green shirt to sales meetings just to get under the skin of the boss. We all got a kick out of that. Forrest was a good man and will be missed by many. May you take comfort knowing he is in God's hands now and at peace.

I was shocked when I saw Sonny's death in the paper today. I haven't seen him in probably 40 years, but I'll always remember Kathy and I playing at their house and loving to bug him when he had his friends over. He was like a big brother to me growing up in Wytheville. I didn't know his children, but my condolences to them, and especially to his sisters Kathy and JoAnn.

I am so sorry. I am at a loss for words. I am here if you need to talk or need anything. My husband, Tom worked with Forrest at Berglund and said what a nice, genuine man he was. Forrest spoke often about his grandkids and family. Tom spent time with him out-of-town when they worked together and shared a room. That was a while back and I can still remember Tom telling me what great conversations they had while away. I met him as well and thought alot of him. Once again, I feel so bad for your loss. I am here if you need anything. God Bless you all.
