Garland AKERS Obituary
A celebration of his life will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2013, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson of Gethsemane Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday. Military graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2013, at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the Montgomery County Humane Society, P.O. Box 287, Blacksburg, VA 24063.
The Akers family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
