Harry Hartless Obituary

Harry Calvin (Jelly)(Mac) Hartless, of Lynchburg, Va., passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2008. He was the husband of the late Virginia "Jenny" Wood Hartless. Born in Lynchburg on July 27, 1920, he was a son of the late Woody L. and Esther Moore Hartless and was also preceded in death by an older brother, Linwood V. Hartless. He was retired from Exxon Mobile and a member of BREMR (Blue Ridge Exxon Mobile Retirees Club). He is survived by several nieces and nephews, a sister-in-law, Eileen Rosengrant of Illinois; and a special friend and caregiver, Carol Woody. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2008, in Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to American Cancer Society or Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Plantation, P.O. Box 1398, Brookneal, Va. 24528. Carol & family,
I was saddened to hear of Mr. Hartless's passing. What a delightful man, with many stories to tell. I was blessed to have met "Mr. Jellie", while working receptionist at The Summit. We shared many conversations. Know that God will comfort you thru this most difficult time.
